The Department of Economics, Yingli College, Longleng, organised the 59th A.D Shroff Memorial Elocution Competition” on 9th September, 2025 in Borgohain Hall. The participants spoke on three topics related to Indian Economy viz, i. Making India a global manufacturing hub, ii. Job creators vs job seekers is the need of the hour and iii. Are our ‘education and skills’ aligned with corporate demand? The event was coordinated by Mrs. Konchem, HOD and Asst. Professor. The programme was chaired by Ms. Lochumbeni P Shitiri, Asst. Professor, and the competition was judged by Mr. Thsingvi T. Sangtam, Asst.Professor, Mr. Jonathan S. Singsit, Asst.Professor and Mr. Manngai H Phom, Assistant Professor. Eight students spoke on different topics with confidence and clarity, and impressed the audience positively. The Winner of the competition were awarded certificates (5) and cash prize (3).

3rd Prize: Ms. Moi-e I (1 Sem)

4th Prize: Ms. Phangmei (5 sem)
